Welcome to Gĩthaka kia ugi. Githaka means a densely forested area, land or earth. It is derived from the word ũthaka which means beautiful with the prefix gĩ- amplifying the beauty thus depicting something extremely beautiful or a big beautiful thing. kia is conjunction of in kikuyu and ugi is the kikuyu word for knowledge. In this context, the name and in deed the mission of the website is to create a big and beautiful Library or simply put a land of knowledge.
